I hung out there for a little while and learned about ball transfer units (BTUs) for smoother trackball movement and various other modifications people have made to the Adept. My partner incorporated some of those ideas and some of his own into an Adept mod that looks great, functions beautifully, and attaches to my desk perfectly.
